The number of US adults with high school diplomas and bachelor's degrees have hit record highs, according to a survey released by the Census Bureau Tuesday.Nearly 85 percent of Americans over the age of 25 have high school diplomas and a quarter of them have bachelor's degrees too. The report, Educational Attainment in the United States: March 2000 (Update) updates the 1999 report issued last September. The statistics were collected during the March 2000 current population survey and should not be confused with the Census 2000 results which will be released in future months.
Most of the statistics are national, but some regional, state, and large city data are shown.
