The Stateline.org Advanced Site Search provides four optional search parameters. You have the option of using any combination of one or all of the following:

"with all of the words": Typing one or more words, each separated by a space (e.g., hurricane FEMA), into this box allows you to search for only content that contains all the words you type. An example of how this search criteria operates includes the following: ("hurricane" AND "FEMA")

"with any of the words": Typing one or more words, each separated by a space (e.g., Iraq Afghanistan), into this box allows you to search for content that contains either word. An example of how this search criteria operates includes the following: ("Iraq" OR "Afghanistan")

"with the exact phrase": Typing one or more words, each separated by a space (e.g., homeland security), into this box allows a user to pinpoint the exact phrase for which a match should be found. An example of how this search criteria operates includes the following: ("homeland security")

"without the words": Typing one or more words, each separated by a space (e.g., Clinton Carter Nixon), into this box allows a user eliminate the possibility of returning search results that includes those words. An example of how this search criteria operates includes the following: (NOT "Clinton" NOT "Carter" NOT "Nixon")
