Fall semester, spring semester and summer-long paid internships are available to college and graduate school students interested in politics, public policy and online journalism. Duties include reporting, writing and some office administration tasks. Interns work with a team of experienced journalists and editors covering state government.
Applicants should be college junior, senior or graduate students enrolled in a degree program. Previous internships and/or journalism experience preferred. Strong writing and reporting or research skills required, as is Internet savvy and familiarity with AP style.
Previous interns have included students from University of Massachusetts, Princeton, Yale, Georgetown, University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of Maryland-College Park, Colby, Bowdoin, University of Missouri-Columbia, University of North Carolina, University of Texas, George Washington University, University of Scranton and University of Richmond.
